Association for Facilities Engineering (AFE)

The Milwaukee Chapter of the Association for Facilities Engineering (AFE) honored Forest County Potawatomi Community (FCPC) Renewable Generation, LLC. for its new Biodigester (i.e. waste-to-energy) Facility in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. AFE annually distinguishes companies that positively impact the facilities engineering industry by overcoming challenges and successfully completing noteworthy projects.

The program celebrates exceptional achievements by those in the facility engineering industry whose vision and accomplishments are extraordinary. Partners in the project included Greenfire Management Services-the tribal construction management Company, Symbiont – Science, Engineering and Construction, Miron Construction, Titus Energy, Advanced Waste Services and Biothane, as well as bioenergy researcher Dr. Daniel Zitomer of Marquette University.
