2005. MSOE Pervious Pavement Project Wins Concrete Design Award

Symbiont recieved the 2005 Concrete Design Award for the Pervious Concrete Parking Lot we designed at the Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE).

The award, part of an annual recognition program cosponsored by the Wisconsin Ready Mixed Concrete Association and the Wisconsin Chapter of ACI International, honors outstanding concrete projects in Wisconsin and Michigan’s Upper Peninsula.

Pervious concrete is a key component of the overall site water management system for this project, as it allows rain and snowmelt to pass through.

Pervious pavement provides the following benefits:

  • Low life-cycle costs
  • Retains storm water runoff
  • Replenishes local watershed systems
